Do you provide a free consultation?
Yes, we provide a free consultation to discuss your case and what we can do to assist you.  We will also discuss our rates and what you can expect from CIS at the conclusion of the investigation.

Will CIS provide me with a written estimate or proposal?
Yes, we can provide you with a written proposal upon request.  This proposal will outline our understanding of the case as well as our understanding of the information you are seeking and the anticipated budget for the investigation.  

Does my information remain confidential?
Yes, all communication with CIS and the information we obtain in the course of our investigation is strictly confidential.  We will not discuss your information with anyone, even if you do not choose to hire CIS for your investigation.

Do you require a retainer?
In some instances, CIS will require a retainer from the client.  A retainer is an up-front deposit that we will bill against as the case proceeds.  The retainer is usually a portion of the anticipated budget.  If, at the conclusion of the investigation, any portion of the retainer remains unused it will be returned to the client.

How much do you think the investigation will cost me?
It is impossible to estimate how much an investigation will cost without having a clear understanding of the facts and circumstances surrounding the case.  We offer competitive rates and can provide you with an estimate after our free consultation.

How long will the investigation take?
Different types of cases take different lengths of time.  Civil litigation searches are usually completed quicker than a more detailed due diligence search or background check.  Some investigative firms will schedule surveillance as soon as they receive the new case.  At CIS, we schedule surveillance in an attempt to choose a time and location that will lend itself to success. 

Regardless of the type of investigation we are conducting, at case initiation you will be provided with a target date for the conclusion of the investigation.  We will also provide you with periodic updates to let you know of any significant changes or new information that may have an effect on the investigation.

What forms of payment does CIS accept?
We accept Cash, Checks and Credit Cards.
